How this site is built

This site: static Astro, build-time SVG charts, a sky that keeps real time, and a few KB of JS.

The whole site is plain HTML rendered at build time. No client framework, no trackers, no chart library: the activity, language and benchmark charts are SVG generated from JSON when the site builds.

The interactive layer is a few kilobytes of vanilla JavaScript: the ⌘K palette and search, the light and dark toggle (it follows your system until you choose), the sun and moon in the hero that track your local time, count-ups, and the links dock in the corner.

The full colophon, with reasons, is in How this site is built.
