Hi there! I'm Joe.
I build software and measure AI on hardware I own, then publish what actually happened, run logs included.
CAIO [Local, Enterprise] by day. After hours itβs the home lab: one very busy RTX 5090, vLLM, and a growing pile of benchmark results. This site is the public notebook for both.
A few things about me
The rig
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 (32 GB), AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D, 64 GB DDR5. One box, one GPU, no cloud credits.
Everything on the bench page was measured on it.
Numbers over vibes
Every benchmark here ships with its methodology and run log. Determinism is checked, not assumed: identical runs have to produce identical output before a result counts.
Day job
CAIO [Local, Enterprise]. Most of the commit chart at the bottom of this page is that work.
After hours
Squeezing more out of the 5090 with vLLM: speculative decoding, FP8 KV cache, concurrency. The wins and the regressions both get written up.
Shipped things
The projects page is the portfolio: live links, source, and the story of how each one was built.
Say hi
Email is the best way to reach me. If youβd rather just follow along, the RSS feed gets every post the moment it ships.
Now
- Squeezing more out of the 5090: currently speculative decoding and FP8 KV cache experiments in vLLM.
- Backfilling the writing archive into this site, one post at a time.
- Day-job product work in TypeScript. The commit chart below is mostly that.
